Did you notice that the sign was a different color today? Could you tell that the picture frame is askew? Can you see the pansies that weren't there last night? Do you remember his expression when he began to cry? Yes.

Mother always said to be observant. Being aware of the tiny points makes it easier to understand. When I read blogs, I feel like I understand his/her emotions completely; s/he is transparent. Other people must feel this way too. Why, if blogs are easily decipherable, do I feel like I am misunderstood? It's disappointing to find myself in the same position as the blissfully unaware. The difference is that I am not wallowing in self-pity, but perplexed at why I can transcend it in other people but not in myself.

Maybe I am just as naive as they are. Maybe everybody does understand me.
